infinite promise.

I like travelling to new places

and the process of mapping out the route from one point to the next.

On my current route, I kept seeing signs of places I’d been,

and for a moment I thought the signs indicated that perhaps I’d gone nowhere,

that I had been travelling in a circle back to my point of departure.

Then I realized that these familiar signs were just little reminders,

directing me to move past the points I did not want to revisit,

and that in fact the route I’d planned had infinite promise.
